TealHeal Advances to Quarter Finals in SD Angels Conference

[San Diego, CA, January 21, 2021] TealHeal, an innovative platform for home-based healthcare, has been recognized as one of 30 companies from a record number of 124 applications for the 2020/2021 fund season of the San Diego Angel Conference (SDAC). The SDAC is a three-year-old program from the University of San Diego (USD) School of Business that activates accredited angel investors and engages promising early-stage companies.

“I’m happy to have been selected in the Quarter Final Round, and I congratulate our fellow companies who have also been recognized,” said Dr. Gelena Lifchitz, Founder and CEO of TealHeal. “Participating in the SDAC: E-Track in preparation for the conference gave us a foundation of education and tools on how to receive coaching and feedback from investors.”

TealHeal’s vision statement is that “home is the best place to heal.” This is even more true in light of the current pandemic. Through its suite of hardware and app-enabled tools, TealHeal allows any physician to deliver a high-quality home visit, offering a similar set of procedures and tests to what could be delivered in an urgent care facility. TealHeal has a goal of reducing the number of unnecessary emergency room visits and hospitalizations with a proactive “one-stop-shop” approach that keeps patients safe at home.

“This is a business model whose time has come, and today’s COVID crisis only underlines the need; we’re excited about the attention we’ve been receiving from the investor community,” said Lifchitz.  “We’re glad to be able to bring together our premier wireless technology with a human touch and cultural awareness, and ultimately create improved patient outcomes.”
